Several ellipses of various colors

put on a background can be manipulated

like any image and some very

extrodinary effects can happen.

As Forrest says,

"You never know what you're going to get".

This time we'll use a fill color and stroke color.

They can be the same or different, your choice.



  1. Put your URL of a 300x300 blank white gif

    in the slot.


  2. Here's one: §

  3. Click View



  4. When your image has fully loaded...

  5. Click on the Draw tab.


  6. Click the drop-down where it says line


  7. Scroll down to where it says "ellipse".


  8. Click on that.

  9. Erase what is in the box


  10. Put in +150+150  +120+5  +0+360


  11. Scroll down...erase what is in the fill color

    slot and put your color


  12. In the stroke color slot put your color


  13. Set stroke width at 2


  14. Scroll back up and click Draw


  15. Repeat with the following coordinates:

    +150+150  +5+120  +0+360




Results should look like fig. 1








Using the following coordinates; draw four more.

+100+150  +5+120  +0+360

+150+100  +120+5  +0+360

+200+150  +5+120  +0+360

+150+200  +120+5  +0+360

Results should look like fig. 2








Using the following coordinates; draw more.

Use all or just some of them.

  • Matte the white background.


  • Click on FX tab...in the slot put 180...click swirl...click to effect.


  • Output

Go back in IM till you get to what you output...

  • Click on transform tab...flop...and transform


  • Composite, center....Blend

Go back in IM till you get to the last composite....

  • Composite, center....Difference
Results should look like fig. 6








The possibilities are endless....

Your own imagination and combinations

will create something different every time.

Using other draw features will give more effects.

The only limits are the ones you set for yourself.
